What People's Say About Place

Food was amazing and the service was super friendly. Will definitely be going back!

Great seafood boil! The service was very good as well. It was kimda dead in here for a Saturday night. They used to allow people to write on the walls but stopped due to vulgarity.

Even though there's mixed reviews we had a really good experience with the food and service here. The spices and flavor were good. Coming from a family where the only seafood eaten is freshly caught from the gulf, the only difference was fresh and not fresh. If you know the difference you can tell. However we were very satisfied with the outcome.

When I searched for Seafood boil restaurants I came across this restaurant and decided to give it a try. The service was really nice and the staff were really welcoming even when they were closing earlier than usual. Everything was so good even if it’s not that fresh. I combined all the seasonings together and it was amazing. I didn’t like the crab legs as they were frozen. The shrimps, the vegetables and the calamari were delicious. I would love to give it another try and I recommend it!

I've passed by it over the years, but this was my first visit. The ambiance is interesting w all the writing on the walls. Place was clean, food was very good and I enjoyed the experience.

My only point of reference for seafood boils is the Juicy Seafood restaurant in South Indy. Having said that, the food here was pretty good. The flavor is weaker than I expected. To up the flavor, get the "All of the Above" flavor in Medium. It has almost no heat, and compared to the mild, it is more flavorful. Then peel all the seafood, them mix it up in the bag. It's a little more work, but it's worth it. Service was great, and so was the atmosphere.

After we drove West in the morning, we drove around and ended up south of where we live and ate dinner at Blue Crab Juicy Seafood, located behind the Dayton Mall. Even though they were not busy, it took a while to be seated. A customer walked by us as we were waiting for someone to acknowledge us and said, "You are in for a long wait." We were eventually seated. The waitress, we didn't get her name, but she was getting married soon, was very nice. She kept stopping by to make sure everything was okay. You can order already created bags of seafood, or you can create your own. You can pay by 1/2 pound, by pound, or the already created bags are priced differently. We both created our own. We had the same thing, shrimp, snow crab legs (one bunch), potatoes, I had corn on the cob, and Mark did not. I also had a bit more spice with mine. Yes, I did wear my bib and the plastic gloves they gave us so I wouldn't get the old bay seasoning on my wedding rings. Mark did not wear the gloves. We did not like the cheese bread. The cheese was not melted at all. $6 for cheese bread, I didn't eat mine, and Mark only ate half of his. That was disappointing. Also, there was a man walking around, cleaning off tables and doing other things, had his earbuds in, and was talking on the phone the entire time. The atmosphere was nice, and since it is in the old Max and Erma's, there is a bit of it remaining, which I appreciate. We have been to a few of these type of restaurants and we like them.

It never disappoints. For an Ohio Seafood restaurant, it’s delicious. My friends come down from Columbus to get crab legs with me. The snow crab is pretty meaty, well worth the money and the drive!
